This is a pearl paint that achieves an unprecedented level of shine and color vibrancy.
Pearl paints do not rely on the color of the paint itself, but instead, the appearance of the color changes based on the base material and the wavelength of light that passes through the pearl particles.
When used on white materials, the surface becomes pearl-coated. At first glance, it may seem like no color is applied, but areas exposed to light will reflect the pearl color used. This is effective for car models and character figures or kits. When used on black materials, the pearl’s color appears metallic.
By painting the material black beforehand, you can achieve a unique metallic effect, making it perfect for car models, mecha models, and other similar uses.
Additionally, since the pearl particles are larger, the finish tends to be matte. For a more beautiful, jewel-like sparkle, apply a glossy clear coat as part of a “two-coat finish.”
*Note: Due to the nature of the paint, airbrushing is recommended. This line produces varying finishes by being sprayed over a white or black base coat.
